About the Band...

Prior to forming the Moondance Blues Band in May 2004, each of these young musicians had already gained a reputation individually as fine artists. Highly dedicated, they practice many hours independently, and together as a band. They also perfect their performance skills by attending local jams on a regular basis. Some have even had extensive experience performing as guest musicians with established adult bands, and as members of school and other bands. They have now come together, melding into a versatile youth band focusing on Blues standards, with fresh arrangements that appeal to both young and adult Blues lovers. They have introduced original songs that they've composed, and will be introducing other originals. Learning from the Blues Masters and Legends while creating their own unique sound that will appeal to their generation is one way the Moondance Blues Band is striving to “Keep the Blues Alive.”
